Double compartment
The new double compartment I am making now is a 7 step and 5 step maze type. This is a box with the inside divided into two spaces, top and bottom. Previously, it had the same structure of 7 steps on both sides. In other words, it had the same structure for the top and bottom panels. It can be opened from either side.
This time, the type I am making allows you to open the 7 step side first and then open the 5 step maze side. It would be easier to make it if the top and bottom had the same structure, but the way it opens would not be as fun, so I changed it this time.
On the 5 step side, I included a small "trap" called a one-point maze. This is a structure that I have been using for about 10 years, and it is a method of making that adds a little "difficulty" without breaking the traditional way of making Himitsu-bako. Even if it is a Japanese puzzle box with many steps to open, there is only one way to open it. However, this 5-step mechanism has one "fork in the road" to opening it. If you do not choose the right one, the puzzle box will not open. I hope you enjoy it.
