Drawer puzzle box

Today, I continued with the work from yesterday. First, I installed the final panel for the 5-sun drawer box, known as the "kannuki(slide key) panel." This process involves several steps.
To begin, I attached small wooden pieces called "bocchi" to the areas where the "kannuki" will be fixed. Adjusting the "bocchi" to the perfect fit is crucial. A common challenge in all secret box assembly work is that even if the adjustments seem perfect during this stage, they may change after the box is completed. Factors such as climate and the quality of the wood can cause this change. Therefore, the adjustments must be made with all these variables in mind. I worked with this awareness today as well.
After attaching the "bocchi," I installed 3mm wooden pins on the aruki (moving panel) of the surface where the drawer comes out. This is to ensure that the aruki panel does not fall off from the top. Finally, I sanded these two surfaces to make them perfectly flat.

After that, I attached yosegi panels to these two surfaces. One side consists of a single board divided into three sections for the kannuki panel, while the other side is a single yosegi board. The drawer emerges from the side with the single board.
As I’ve mentioned before, when one side is a single board rather than both sides being divided into three sections for the aruki panel, it’s possible to attach both panels simultaneously. Normally, after attaching one side panel, it needs to rest for a full day, so this process usually takes two days. However, in this case, the work could be completed in a single day. and I successfully finished attaching the panels and will store the boxes until tomorrow.

Another crucial step in the production process of this box is making the "drawer". I have been working on the drawer construction for the past few days. Today, I attached the handles, bringing the main body of the drawer nearly to completion. All that remains is to create the drawer's lid. I will likely continue with these tasks tomorrow.
